birthday!

yesterday was Mr. Hubby's birthday. he turns 27 years young... heheh! i wanted to plan for a proper surprise birthday or at least a planned dinner of some sort but it was a wee bit difficult as i dont drive (to anywhere... very unfortunate..no carlehh)and we are practically attached to the hip outside of work... not that i'm complaining... heheh... i managed to surprise him. remember my mission few weeks ago. yeah.. it was a birthday present for Mr. Hubby. i gave him a photo frame with our picture it in..



it is kinda like DIY thing... i bought the wooden photo frame from Ikea and glued these little mosaic pieces i got from the bazaar in Amcorp Mall. i did it during lunch hour.. huhu... and i edited a wedding picture of ours (i had to ask him to teach him how to use Photoshop. thank god he didnt ask too many questions! and i could only do it when he's watching football downstairs. now, i thank GOD for football!!) and voila! a one-of-a-kind photo frame!! heheh hhmmm... mebbe i could sell these frames...

its handmade so its a little crooked here and there.. ;-)

so that was the birthday present! hehe.. cantik tak?

so now his birthday surprise.. i didnt plan for anything actually coz i didnt know how to get him a cake without him knowing and i didnt wanna ask my SIL coz it's my hubby's birthday and he hates big surprises! so anyway... it was friday. i thot of a plan. make reservation at TGIF one utama and watch a movie. also to sing-song at TGIF which i know he'll kill me for it. but then, mebbe i sgould ask him first whether he would rather go for dinner-movie combo on friday or saturday.. and he said saturday! thank god! he wanted to have tom yam at Hartamas Shopping Centre. they are having a thai festival where they sell tom yam, som tan (kerabu magga for the rest of us...), mango and pulut dessert and other thai products. its on until 9th april.. and the tom yam is yummy!!!! and pedas too!

so.. tom yam it is. went to hartamas to have our tom yam and delicious mango juice! its fresh okay... they blend the fruit with a little water... and it comes out creamy and full of flavour! anyway... after that... i thot of getting him an ice cream cake. but how do i do it? how did i hide a cake with him in the car... nevermind... try luck first! so, i told him that i wanted ice cream from Baskin Robbins and was secretly hoping that he would let me buy the ice cream alone... and he did! only because he was sleepy and cranky coz of some stup*d drivers in taipan usj. thank god for that. he didnt even ask why way the packaging big when i told him i was gonna get only a pint of ice cream. a pint of ice cream is really small compared to a 6-8 person ice cream cake. takpelah... he didnt ask.. so i kept quiet.

we got home... he went upstairs immediately.. nasib baik... i managed to hide the cake in the freezer without him hovering nearby. it was still early though.. and we had about an hour before 12. so, i showered while he slept.. like a log.. aiseh.... like old man!

so we waited till 12... and woke him up!!

my hubby baru bangun!! its strawberry cheesecake ice cream!

and he was surprised! heheh... we sang song and had ice cream... hhaaaahhh... my *plan* worked! thankfully!!! was a long day that friday... with work being sucky... but it all ended nicely..
