anyhow... i spent 2 nights preparing and 2 full days making and decorating them. i took the Friday off because the princess rainbow cake was due then.
Mr. Hubby's friend laughed at me when i said i needed 3 days to make a cake. hey!! im a working a woman ok.. with little experience decorating a cake. i can bake, no problem but decorating a cake is very tricky.
so i started with making the cream cheese on tuesday night... then i baked the cake and assembled the cake and made the vanilla buttercream (which i found out later was not enough)on wednesday night. slept at 1ish am that night. wanted to continue on thursday night but i was too tired. woke up at 6am on friday morning and rushed to cover and decorate the cake. it was a tall cake for obviously reasons... it had 7 layers!!! so, i manage to cover and decorate the cake.. made a top for the princess by 12noon.. phewww!!
still had to go out buy baking stuffs after that anyway... its at these times that i wished i could teleport. uuhhh... nice, right? *blinks eye* baking store - buy buy buy... *blinks eye* home - bake bake bake.. sh$t, i forgot eggs (because i tend to forget things i needed to buy in the first place)... *blinks eye* baking store - buy eggs... and sprinkes... and that ubercool sift thingy... and vanilla... and flour ( i might as well get it, while im at the store, tight...)
SO... i went to the baking store and supermarket twice within 3 hours... so tiring...
after my friend picked up the cake... oh, did i tell Mr. Hubby constructed the cake box using 2 cake boxes. i didnt take a picture coz i was too busy worrying about the cakes.. it was so cool!
OK.. after that.. i rushed (always rushing... 2 rushed day!!) to make the funfetti cake and the chocolate cake coz i had to pick Mr. Hubby from work at 5pm which i was late of course. had to wait for the chocolate to finish baking... by the time we got home (after dinner and lepaking with his friend).. it was 9pm. so again.. i was rushing to cover and decorate 2 cakes.. and had to make the orange cupcakes and nutella cloud frosting.
i finally stop at 5am.. coz my legs were aching. slept on the sofa.. and woke up at 9 am.. for the finishing touches of the cake. then we rushed off to subang coz we were told to be there by 11am to help.. but when we got there, there were no one around. so Mr. Hubby and I went for breakfast at the mamak at ss19.. the apam wasssss so good!!! got myself redbull and 100plus... i think that got me through the day..
the party ended at about 7ish i think.. Mr Hubby and i even had a 15 mins nap in kid's playroom. yes, we were that tired.. though i'm not sure yet he is tired since i was the one awake till 5am. anyhooo... we left around 8ish. stopped by Giza Sunway coz i just *had* to get my essential magazines. well, i got one of them.. Jamie Oliver. the other probably hasnt reach our shores yet.
Oh, we celebrated our Earth Hour in the dimly-lit Giza Sunway Damansara. Body Shop was total darkness save for one panel of light. and yet.. i wanted to buy a lipstick then. crazy right? i didnt get the lipstick but i bought their Earth Lovers Fig & Rosemary shower gel. i wanted to use my voucher actually as it was expiring very soon. guess what?? i got another voucher after purhasing the shower gel.. niceee...
so that was my rather eventful day...
slept in on sunday... oh! i did my hair.. wash and blow after maybe 1 year +++++ it felt so good. though i dont think i'll go back to them coz the stylist almost burned my scalp. i got my Chatime. Bought a couple of stuff from This & That (i love this store coz there are cheap cheap cheap!!) went to dinner at Ole-ole Empire. Baby Shiya belanja-ed all of us!
So, that was a good ending to a very tiring weekend!
