my version of aglio olio!

I tried to make olio a few weeks ago and ive been meaning to write about it but I hadn’t had time and new story keeps cropping up… anyways… I tried… keyword: TRIED… but in vain.. oklah.. jadilah.. but not quite well… I thought it was ok. Hubby is bias to my cooking and my dad said it was tasteless. Boo hoo!

So my recipe!

Spaghetti
Olive oil
Beef bacon
Sun dried tomatoes
Chili flakes
Garlic

What I was suppose to do…

Was to fry garlic, bacon and sun dried tomatoes with olive oil and put aside. While doing that, boil the pasta. Once pasta is cooked al dente (huhu!), add it into the oil mixture.

What I did was…

Cooked the pasta first and set it aside. Then, fried all the other ingredients (everything besides the pasta). After which, I added the pasta. Wrong move!!!! First of all, my pasta was already cold and it was clumped together. Second, when I added the pasta to my hot pan, the pasta stuck to the bottom of the pan. By that time, I dah mengelabah! But I managed to swirl it around… tossing it here and there… a little arm work… and I managed to coat all the spaghetti with the “sauce”.
Hahaha… I so tak puas hati… so im gonna try it again this weekend! Will let u guys know of the outcome!
